Ex-Oregon State DB Treston Decoud looks to make an impact with Houston Texans

Former Oregon State star defensive back Treston Decoud didn't produce outstanding numbers at the 2017 NFL Scouting Combine, but the Houston Texans saw other qualities that were attractive.

The Texans used their fifth-round pick (No. 169) to select Decoud in the 2017 NFL draft. The Texans liked the size of the 6-foot-2, 206-pound Decoud and his physical style of play, using his 33 1/4-inch arms.

Decoud is the tallest defensive back on the Texans roster and said he plans to continue to use his size and physicality to his advantage on the field by engaging wide receivers in press coverage at the line of scrimmage.
