BEND, Ore. – Ellie Slama capped a spectacular week of golf with a 2 and 1 match play win over Jessica Young on Saturday to capture the women's title at the 109th Oregon Amateur Championship.
On Saturday's 36-hole final at the Bend Golf Club, Slama battled back from 3 down through 22 holes to tie the match on the 30th hole. She birdied the 34th hole to take a 1 up lead and got a par on the 37th hole for the 2 and 1 win.
Slama finished third in the two-day stroke play qualifying with an even-par 72-72--144 to advance to match play.
