TUCSON, Ariz. – Oregon State left-handed relief pitchers Brandon Eisert and Jake Mulholland have been named Freshman All-Americans by Collegiate Baseball on Wednesday morning.
With their selections, Oregon State has now had at least one Freshman All-American in 10 of the last 11 seasons.
Eisert, who hails from Beaverton, Ore., enters the Corvallis Super Regional with a 5-0 record, 2.18 earned run average and four saves in 45 1/3 innings. Opponents are batting .188 against him and the lefty has struck out 48 – an average of 9.53 strikeouts per nine innings.
