After Travis Eckert were able to put up matching zeroes in the first inning the Ducks were the first to get on the board when they were able to score the run on the back of a Daniel Patzlaff single up the middle already making it a Duck lead.
Oregon State got a little action to respond in the bottom of the second as well, but they would not actually get on the board until the 4th inning. It started with a Steven Kwan leadoff triple and he was brought home by a KJ Harrison bloop base hit.
