CORVALLIS, Ore. – Christian Donahue hit his first career home run and Trever Morrison and Kyle Nobach each tripled as the sixth-ranked Oregon State baseball team defeated San Diego State, 9-6, Tuesday night at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.
Tommy Paul worked 2 1/3 scoreless innings for his first career win, and the Beavers improved to 17-6 on the year. San Diego State, meanwhile, dropped to 6-17.
The Beavers rapped out 10 hits off six San Diego State pitchers, with Morrison pacing the club with three. His eighth-inning triple scored two and gave the Beavers a four-run cushion, which helped as SDSU scored once in the ninth and stranded two when Max Engelbrekt picked up his ninth save of the season.
