CORVALLIS -- "Have I told you about Hawaii?"
Less than a month into his tenure as Oregon State's athletic director, Scott Barnes detailed a benchmark moment from his time at Utah State. Gary Andersen's third Aggies team headed to the Islands in November 2011 with a 2-5 record, including four losses by single digits. They trailed by 21 points at halftime. Starting quarterback Chuckie Keeton had been carted off the field and sent to the hospital with a neck injury.
But the Aggies rallied to win 35-31, with Robert Turbin powering into the end zone with 14 seconds left for the game-winning score.
