Oregon State redshirt sophomore heavyweight Amarveer Dhesi received the Robin Reed Outstanding Wrestler Award on Sunday at the wrestling team’s annual awards banquet at the Club at Reser Stadium.
Dhesi, pictured here with the coaching staff following the NCAA championships, earned All-American honors and took fifth place at the NCAA championships. He was 32-5 overall, won the Pacific-12 Conference title and was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler of the Pac-12 tournament.
Dhesi also had a team-leading 12 pins to earn the Len Kauffman/Larry Bielenberg Most Pins Award.
Senior NCAA qualifier Seth Thomas received the Highest GPA award; he earned first-team Pac-12 All-Academic honors for the second year in a row.
