SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Highlighted by Destiny Dawson's record setting performance in the javelin, the Oregon State track and field team took part in two competitions on Friday, splitting duties at the San Francisco Distance Carnival and Stanford Invitational.
The majority of the action for the Beavers took place at Stanford. For the second time this season Dawson has set the Oregon State school record in the javelin. She set the current record of 155-feet, 6.5-inches on March 16 at the Lewis & Clark Spring Break Open, and today reset that mark with a throw of 163-feet, 8-inches.
