In a season full of tough breaks for the Beavers, the road ahead just got a bit rougher.
On Monday, Oregon State starting quarterback Darell Garettson was ruled out for the rest of the 2016 season with a broken ankle, a source reported to John Canzano of KGW News. Garretson sustained the injury in Saturday’s 19-14 loss to Utah.
Source at Oregon State tells me QB Darrel Garretson broke his ankle. Surgery likely today. Beavers waiting on MRI for Conor Blount (knee).

While Garretson has been an enigmatic figure and sometimes a “poster boy” for the struggles of the Oregon State offense this season, he remained head coach Gary Andersen’s first choice at the quarterback spot some six games into the season.
