Cross Country team earns academic honors

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The 2016 Oregon State cross country team was named an NCAA Division I Scholar Team of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 11 year in a row on Thursday.

The Beavers led the Pacific-12 Conference with a cumulative 3.63 grade-point average. Nine conference schools were honored.

Eight members of the 2016 team earned Pacific-12 Conference All-Academic honors. Every team member to meet the eligibility requirements was honored.
First-team all-academic selections were seniors and . Sophomore was a second-team choice. Senior , juniors and and sophomores and all earned honorable mention.
