Good thing the NCAA Tournament is decided on the basketball court, because if the outcomes were based on players' performance in the classroom, the Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers wouldn't make it out of the first round.
That's according to Inside Higher Ed's annual bracket-busting look at the NCAA tournament.
The higher ed news site fills out its bracket predicting outcomes based on each squad's Academic Progress Rate, which looks at multi-year classroom performance.
The Ducks would face a tough customer in Holy Cross, which is in the 90th percentile in academic achievement, according to that metric.
