Cory Stover, rising Marshfield DE/TE, picks up offer from Oregon State Beavers

The Oregon State Beavers have made in-state recruiting a top priority under coach Jonathan Smith, and they have the results to prove it.

Having already secured pledges from Clackamas defensive lineman Kelsen Hennessy and West Salem athlete Anthony Gould in the class of 2019, Oregon State has showed no signs of slowing down its aggressive approach with Oregon high school prospects.

That trend continued Friday when the Beavers hosted rising Marshfield defensive end/tight end Cory Stover on an unofficial visit, offering the 6-foot-6, 220-pound athlete his second scholarship.

"The offer was really awesome," Stover said. "Oregon State is a great school and I've been watching them since I was little.
