CORVALLIS -- Darting between position groups and rhythmically bouncing up and down to music during 11-on-11 drills, Oregon State interim coach Cory Hall already has made a unique impression on practice.
The 40-year-old former cornerbacks coach was subdued Monday at his introductory press conference that primarily focused on the surprise departure of former coach Gary Andersen earlier that morning.
But ever since, and now two days away from his first game as a Division I head coach, Hall continually smiled while explaining the vigor he said the Beavers had during the week after the startling announcement had many in tears three days earlier.
