Wide receiver Brandin Cooks of the New Orleans Saints had seven receptions for 173 yards and a touchdown on Sunday in a 41-38 victory over the Carolina Panthers to lead Oregon State alums in Week 6 of the National Football League season.
Cooks scored on an 87-yard pass from Drew Brees and also had a 49-yard reception. He is the first player in NFL history with two TD receptions of 85 yards or more in the first five games of the regular season; he had a 97-yard scoring play earlier this season.
