CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State Athletics is proud to announce Mariana Colussi-Pelaez and Joseph DeMatteo have been named January Student-Athletes of the Month.
Colussi-Pelaez, a junior hailing from Oakville, Ontario, has been a regular in the Beavers' uneven bars lineup during her first two years in Corvallis. She has "hit" 27 out of 29 routines in her 19-meet career. As a freshman in 2016, she connected on all 22 of her routines performing on the bars in all 12 meets as well as making 10 appearances on the balance beam. She has career-highs of 9.
