College football attendance declines again, and who is surprised? Issues & Answers

Is anybody surprised fewer people are going to college football games?

Jon Solomon of CBSSports.com reports attendance for major college football was down in 2015 for a fifth consecutive season.

Overall attendance for Pac-12 home games has declined 11 percent since 2007.

Some of the big losers this season in the Pac-12:

-- Oregon State home attendance was down 14 percent.

-- UCLA lost 13 percent.

-- Arizona State lost eight percent.

-- Washington State dropped five percent despite a breakthrough 8-4 season.

Oregon essentially was even (up less than one percent).
