SAN FRANCISCO – The Oregon State baseball team has been projected to win the Pac-12 Conference in 2017 by a vote of the league's coaches, it was announced on Thursday.
The Beavers, ranked in the top 10 of all six national polls, received 97 points to edge Stanford by one point for first place. Oregon State received eight first-place votes. Stanford, meanwhile, received two en route to 96 overall points.
Arizona is projected to finish third with 78 points, two ahead of Washington, which also received a first-place vote. The coaches ranked UCLA (52 points) fifth, while Oregon (49) was sixth.
