CORVALLIS – While it comes as no surprise, Oregon State (3-8) officially announced Tuesday it will be without starting wide receiver Seth Collins for the weekend's Civil War against Oregon (4-7).
Collins will miss the second consecutive week while recovering from an illness at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis. He remained in "good condition" at the hospital Tuesday, nine days after he was first admitted following the Beavers' Nov. 12 game at UCLA.
The 6-foot-3 sophomore, who first converted from quarterback to receiver at the Civil War last season, ranks second on the team with 36 catches for 418 yards and one touchdown.
