The 2017 Civil War football game in Eugene has been pushed back one day to Saturday, Nov. 25, to avoid a scheduling conflict with UO basketball's tipoff in a new, high-profile basketball tournament held in Portland.

Prior to the switch, which UO announced Thursday, Oregon's football and men's basketball teams each had been scheduled to play Friday, Nov. 24, with the basketball team one of 16 Nike-affiliated schools competing in a Portland-based tournament, dubbed the PK80, honoring the birthday of Nike co-founder and UO super booster Phil Knight, who turns 80 on Feb. 24, 2018.

Coach Dana Altman's team, coming off the program's first NCAA Tournament Final Four berth in 78 years, will play on Thanksgiving, Nov.
