Chad Johnson Jr., son of Oregon State legend, commits to Arizona State Sun Devils, says Beavers slowed recruitment

There was a time not long ago that class of 2020 247Sports four-star wide receiver Chad Johnson Jr. dreamed of playing in black and orange like his famous father.

But those days appear to be behind him.

On Monday, the 6-foot-2, 180-pound pass-catcher, out of Venice High School (Los Angeles, California) announced his commitment to the Arizona State Sun Devils over Florida Atlantic and Oregon State:

For Johnson, that decision came, in part, because he wasn't receiving much attention from the Oregon State coaching staff.
