FROM COLUMBUS...
Three things I'm watching at Ohio Stadium today for the Oregon State vs. Ohio State game.
A) The Pac 12 Conference allows its members to suit up an unlimited number of players to non-conference games. Oregon State only brought 71 to Columbus for the opener. Of those, 33 have never played in a college football game. That's nuts.
I wrote my column leading up to the game on the kind of program that Ohio State is... and the kind of program Oregon State hopes it can be.
B) The center and left side of Ohio State's offensive line features two players who have not played a college game yet as a starter and a third who is playing out of position in the opener.
