One... I put Justin Herbert at No. 6 on my annual installment of The 25 Most Influential People in Oregon Sports. Read the full list here. Putting Herbert so high naturally elicited some ire from Oregon State Beavers fans and Trail Blazers fans. But lets face it, we saw the Ducks play without their Heisman-hopeful quarterback last season and there's no doubt in my mind that he's the most influential athlete in the state.
Influence. Juice. Clout. Ask yourself what those things really mean, and consider that Oregon's athletic department projects $113 million in revenue in 2018.
