FAIRFAX, Calif. Calum Hill fired an 8-under 63 in the opening round of the Alister MacKenzie Invitational on Monday to equal the lowest score in Oregon State men's golf history.

Hill, a senior from North Berwick, Scotland, started his record-tying round with a bogey but eagled the next hole and dropped seven birdies the rest of the way to shoot a 63.

Alex Moore and Jonas Liebich each shot a 9-under 63 to hold the school record. Moore did so in the spring of 2011 at the Duck Invitational, while Liebich equaled the mark last spring at the Amer Ari Invitational.
