HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. – Redshirt junior Ronnie Bresser was the first Oregon State wrestler to make it to the finals of the Midlands Championships since 2012. The Klamath Falls native dropped a 2-1 decision to No. 2-ranked Nick Suriano of Rutgers in the championship bout at the Sears Centre on Saturday evening.
Bresser punched his ticket to the finals by beating two-time Junior World Champion Spencer Lee of Iowa in a thrilling 3-1 decision. He finished the tournament with a 4-1 record, earning his highest ever finish at the Midlands.
