Bresser makes Pac-12 history

Corvallis, Ore. – Oregon State 125-pounder Ronnie Bresser was named the named the first-ever Pacific-12 Conference Wrestler of the Week on Tuesday, for competition between Dec. 28 and Jan. 3.

A sophomore from Henley High School in Klamath Falls, Bresser went 4-1 and took second place in one of the nation’s premier events, the Ken Kraft Midlands Championships in Evanston, Ill., on Dec. 29-30.

He advanced to the finals by pinning Tim Lambert of Nebraska in 2:21 in the

semifinals. He then lost 5-1 to Thomas Gilman of Iowa, a three-time Midlands finalist, in the championship match.
