SAN FRANCISCO – After batting .333 with five RBI in the series win over No. 16 California, freshman Hope Brandner was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. The weekly honor is the first for the Beavers this season and the first of Brandner's career.
Brandner finished the series 3-for-9 (.333) with a team-leading five RBI. The freshman had two pivotal home runs in games one and three for the Beavers. Her three-run blast stopped a California comeback in game one, and her two-run shot in game three tied the game swinging momentum in Oregon State's favor.
