TUCSON, Ariz. – Hope Brandner hit her 10th home run of the season, but the Oregon State softball team fell to No. 10 Arizona 9-1 Sunday afternoon in Tempe, Ariz.
Brandner's homer was a solo shot in the fourth inning, over the left-field fence.
Alysha Everett and Michelle Sass tallied two hits apiece in the contest, while Chance Burden and Jessica Garcia both reached on walks.
Arizona threatened in the first inning, loading the bases with one out, but starting pitcher Mariah Mazon worked out of the jam to strand all three runners.
