Yesterday the Beavers came up short on the road, despite great games from Ethan Thompson and Tres Tinkle. The Beavers could not come up with enough answers for a stingy Saint Louis defense, falling 65-61.
Despite the Beavers taking an early lead, it was the Billikens that came out of the first half with the lead. Saint Louis’s Javon Bess took control of the game early, with 12 points in the first half. Bess notched a pair of three pointers in the final minute of the half that gave Saint Louis a 33-29 lead going into the break.
