CORVALLIS – The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee announced that Beaver softball head coach Laura Berg is a finalist for the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame class of 2019. Voting begins today and runs through Sept. 3 to determine the first class inducted into the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame since 2012.
Berg is considered to be one of the greatest outfielders to ever play the game and is the only four-time Olympian in USA Softball history. She is one of four softball athletes to earn three Olympic Gold Medals, earning her first at the 1996 Olympics held in Atlanta, Ga.
