Kone announced the decision Wednesday on Twitter, thanking the OSU coaching staff and fans. The team later released a statement saying the two sides "mutually agreed for his transfer prior to next season."
"Saying goodbye to this place is tough, but essential to making my dreams become a reality," Kone wrote. "With that being said I have decided to transfer & explore other opportunities."
