A game that featured a combined 21 runs, including 5 home runs, 2 of them grand slams, saw the Beavs pick up their 37th win of the season and claim yet another series win.
Oregon State set the tone early with a first inning 2 run home run off the bat of KJ Harrison to give the Beavs an early 2-0 lead. Cal answered back with a home run of their own in the third inning, as Cameron Eden took a Bryce Fehmel pitch over the left field fence. The bottom of the 3rd saw OSU tack on two runs in more traditional OSU fashion with a double from Nick Madrigal and a sac bunt from Jack Anderson to take a 4-1 lead.
