Beavers With A Second Straight Walkoff

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Preston Jones scored all the way from second on a wild pitch to send the top-ranked Oregon State baseball team to its second consecutive walkoff win over No. 9 Arizona, 5-4, Saturday at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.

Jones, who was pinch running for Zak Taylor, stole second base with Adley Rutschman at the plate. Rutschman swung on a ball in the dirt on a 2-2 pitch from reliever Cody Deason. Arizona catcher Cory Voss, who had homered to tie the game at four in the top half of the ninth, was unable to block the ball.
