CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State women's basketball team made a great addition Friday, as WBCA 2017 National Freshman of the Year Destiny Slocum announced that she will join the Beavers via transfer.
Slocum, a native of Meridian, Idaho, was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year and made the All-Conference Second Team in her freshman campaign with Maryland. She averaged 11.5 points, 6.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds during her time with the Terrapins.
"Destiny is a fantastic addition to our team," said Oregon State head coach Scott Rueck. "She has proven herself as a standout player at the highest level of college basketball, and is an excellent fit for the culture here at Oregon State.
