GOLD RIVER, Calif. – The Varsity 8 finished sixth, it's best finish since 2009, and the Beavers finished seventh overall at Pac-12 Championships on the shores of Lake Natoma near Sacramento Sunday.
"We were on a mission," interim head coach Alliston Foster said. "Our goal all season has been to go faster and faster each race and all three of our boats had their best races today. To go the fastest we've been all season really made it fun today. This team learned to race this season and today everything came together."
The Varsity 8 crew turned in the Beavers' most impressive results racing to sixth place.
