MADISON, Wis. – Nicole Schroeder tied a school record at the NCAA Division I Regionals on Tuesday to put the Oregon State women's golf team in contention to advance to the NCAA Championships for the second time in program history.
Schroeder fired a 6-under 66 in the second round to tie teammate Olivia Benzin for the lowest round in school history. Benzin set the mark at the Ron Moore Invitational in Highlands Ranch, Colo., this past fall.
The Beavers are tied for third place in the 18-team field with a 2-under 289-285--574 at the par-72, 6,313-yard University Ridge Golf Course.
