STANFORD, Calif. – The Oregon State offense tallied 25 hits – the most in nearly a decade – to tie a school record with the Beavers 18th consecutive win after defeating No. 11 Stanford, 15-7, Saturday at Sunken Diamond.
The 18-game win streak ties the 1951 and 1962 teams, and Oregon State improved to 23-1, matching the '62 team for the best start through 24 games. The Beavers are 8-0 in Pac-12 Conference play, while Stanford dropped to 14-8 overall and 2-3 against league foes.
The 15 runs were the most scored in a conference game since the Beavers defeated UCLA, 16-3, in 2005.
