CORVALLIS – The No. 17/24 Oregon State women's basketball team moved to 2-0 on the season Monday evening, as the Beavers earned a 61-38 win over Idaho State at Gill Coliseum.
"I was proud of our effort tonight," said Oregon State head coach Scott Rueck. "We knew going in to this game that Idaho State would be very disciplined and well-coached. I thought they were really effective defensively in the first half, and it took a while for us to learn how to deal with a team that defends the way they do. I really liked the way we played on the defensive end; we controlled the game tempo-wise.
