Oregon State baseball improved to 13-1 on the season by taking both games of today’s doubleheader against Ball State.
Game One- Beavers 5- Ball State 0
For the second game in a row OSU’s starting pitcher looked invincible. This time Luke Hiemlich went 8 scoreless innings giving up only 2 hits to the Ball State lineup while striking out 11 Cardinals. Heimlich is now 3-0 on the season with 36 strikeouts and a 0.31 ERA. Freshman Mitchell Verburg pitched a scoreless 9th inning for OSU in a non-save situation to give the Beavs their second shutout in as many games.
