Beavers Sweep Bears in Berkeley

BERKELEY, Calif. The Oregon State volleyball team domianted California through two sets before hanging on to secure the sweep Sunday afternoon. The win marks the seventh straight win for the Beavers over the Bears.

With the victory, OSU advances its record to 17-9 overall and 7-7 in the Pac-12. Cal falls to 13-12, 4-10. The Beavers defeated the Golden Bears by scores of 25-14, 25-21 and 25-23.

It was a close game through the mid-point of the first set with the Beavers leading 14-12. However, a 9-1 run behind the serving of Kayla Ellis and Maddie Goings put the opening set out of reach of the Bears.
