BERKELEY, Calif. – The Oregon State softball team suffered a 5-1 setback in game two of the regular season series finale at California on Saturday afternoon.
The Bears loaded the bases in the second inning before a scoring a run on a fielding error to take an early lead.
The Beavers responded in the following inning after led the inning off with a single and moved into scoring position on a wild pitch. Oregon State kept the inning alive and tied the game up, 1-1 after a Bear error.
California retook the lead in the bottom of the fourth on an illegal pitch and added to its lead in the sixth with three runs.
