BOONE, N. C. – The Oregon State wrestling team opened the dual-meet season on Saturday by splitting matches against Duke and Appalachian State at the Mountaineer Duals at ASU's Varsity Gym.
The 15-ranked Beavers (1-1) defeated Duke 22-18 in their opening dual but then were upended 25-15 by the host Mountaineers.
Senior (149) won by pin and freshman , senior and junior all won by decision against Appalachian State. Results of the Duke match were not immediately available.
The Beavers open their home dual season against Michigan at noon on Nov. 20. It will be televised by Pac-12 Network.
