SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Oregon State defeated UC Santa Barbara, 71-59, on Saturday afternoon at The Thunderdome to sweep a two-game road trip and remain unbeaten on the season.
With the win, the Beavers started 4-0 for just the second time since 2000 after opening with two home wins and a 77-69 victory over Rice in Houston, Texas on Thursday.
Gary Payton II had another spectacular game for Oregon State, going 8-for-13 from the field, including 3-for-4 from beyond the arc, to score a game-high 21 points. He added seven rebounds, four assists and two steals.
