LUBBOCK, Texas – The Oregon State women's golf team took advantage of a strong back nine at the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Regionals on Tuesday to move three spots up the leaderboard.
The Beavers were 6 over going out but rallied with nine birdies coming in to finish the day with a 5-over 293 at the par-71, 6,593-yard Rawls Course.
The excellent round, which was the seventh best in the field and a 13-stroke improvement from Monday, moved Oregon State into 10th place with a 23-over 306-293--599.
The top six teams will advance to the NCAA National Championships, which will be held May 19-24 at Rich Harvest Farms, in Sugar Grove, Ill.
