LUBBOCK, Texas – The Oregon State women's golf team shattered a school record and finished ahead of seven ranked teams at the NCAA Regionals on Wednesday, but narrowly missed out on advancing to the NCAA National Championships.
The Beavers finished the three-day, 54-hole tournament with a 13-over 306-293-278--877 at the par-71, 6,593-yard Rawls Course, just two strokes behind Kent State for sixth place.
The top six teams at each NCAA Regional advance to the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Nationals.
It was an outstanding tournament for first-year head coach Dawn Shockley and the Beavers.
