CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women's soccer team out-shot Kansas 15-14, but the Beavers suffered a 2-0 defeat Sunday afternoon at Paul Lorenz Field.
"Obviously we are disappointed with the result, but honestly I though our group played really well," said Oregon State head coach Linus Rhode. "This was a hard-fought contest. We had some good opportunities, and I thought the game could easily have gone the other way. We played two tournament-caliber teams this weekend, and I think overall we acquitted ourselves really well. If we keep playing this way, the ball will start to go into the back of the net.
