CORVALLIS, Ore. – Adley Rutschman's two-run double in the seventh inning helped push the Oregon State baseball team to a 3-2 win over Hartford Friday at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.
The Beavers, ranked as high as No. 1 nationally by Collegiate Baseball, came-from-behind to open the four-game series. Rutschman laced a 1-2 pitch from reliever Drew Farkas off the fence in left, enabling Jack Anderson and Steven Kwan to score.
That backed up a sharp start by starter Luke Heimlich, who scattered six hits and two runs in 7 2/3 innings.
