Beavers move up to 11th in West Region rankings

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State cross country team moved up four spots to No. 11 in the West Region on Monday when the United States Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association released its bi-weekly rankings.

The Beavers advanced after taking ninth place at the Pacific-12 Conference Championships on Oct. 28. It was their best finish in five years, and they were just 23 points behind No. 23-ranked UCLA in the battle for seventh place. Senior Emily Weber led the Beavers by taking 24th in 21:20 for 6,000 meters.

Seven other Pac-12 teams joined OSU in the West Region rankings.
