Beavers Make It A Dozen

CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women’s basketball team extended its winning-streak to 12 consecutive games Sunday afternoon, defeating Utah 72-53 in front of a Gill Coliseum crowd of 4,278. The 12-game streak is the second-longest in school history, trailing only the Beavers’ 14-game winning streak in 1982-83.

“I loved the way we started and set the tone early,” said Oregon State head coach Scott Rueck. “I thought we moved the ball really well today and we finished really well. This was a good team win today, and a good weekend overall.”

Senior Naismith Trophy candidate Jamie Weisner led the Beavers with a career-high tying 27 points, shooting 8-for-18 from the floor and hitting all eight of her free throw attempts.
