UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – The Oregon State men’s golf team battled a difficult course and 20-plus mile-per-hour winds over 36 holes on Monday to sit in second place at the Redhawk Invitational.
The Beavers shot a 25-over 309 in the morning and afternoon rounds at the par-71 Chambers Bay Golf Club and are in second place with a 50-over 618. Oregon State had 20 birdies over the two rounds, the most by any team in the tournament.
Washington leads the 16-team field with a 38-over 301-305--606.
