TACOMA, Wash. – The Oregon State women's golf team sits in second place, and only three shots out of the lead, after the first 36 holes of play at the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational.

The Beavers shot a 16-over 292-300--592 at the par-72, 6,086-yard Tacoma Country and Golf Club on Monday to put them in position for a second consecutive team title. Washington leads the 15-team field with a 13-over 291-298--589.

Oregon State was in second place through 36 holes in its last tournament, the Rose City Collegiate in Aurora, Ore., before rallying on the final day to claim the team title.
